** EMAIL MALWARE ALERT ** - 11/6/08 |
Pickering Creative Group has learned that some individuals are receiving unsolicited emails that appear to be coming from our firm. Please know that Pickering is not sending out unsolicited emails, but rather there is current Malware circulating that is pulling our firm's name into the body and footer of some email communication. Just today we have received calls from individuals in Arkansas, Colorado, Montana, New York, Canada, and London, England.
If an individual is receiving multiple unsolicited emails they will
most likely note that Pickering Creative Group is just one of the
companies mentioned or represented. Pickering's management team extends its apologies to any individual offended by the emails that they have received, but at this time the sending and receipt of these emails is completely out of our control.
Also, it is important for individuals to know that if they receive unsolicited emails this does not necessarily mean that their computer is infected by this Malware. They may simply be receiving spam from a computer that is infected. Individuals are encouraged to delete unsolicitied emails immediately to avoid accidentally spreading this Malware to family, friends, or business associates.
