I was 1979 midwest regional pacman runner-up. I burned my right hand on a broken lava lamp the night before so I had to play left-handed. Yah, I was that good!

Combat was by far one of the best on the 2600. Go invisible tanks with bouncing bullets!!!

I'm not sure how much time I wasted on the game "Pitfall" - those crocodiles were fierce...

Pong was our first electronic game, in black and white, as I remember. We got it as a Christmas gift for our kids, and then updated to a colored version. My hubby claimed Pong helped him perfect his pool game, by practicing angle shots. Myself, I preferred to play Scrabble.smilies/wink.gif

All my friends had Atari, but we had Intellivision! Circa 1979, no joy-stick - a flat disc instead... Brilliant! Way ahead of its time. Played boxing, basketball, and Donkey Kong till my fingers bled, it was the summer of '79...

When I was a kid my friends had either a Coleco or a Intellevision. I only remember playing Pitfall. At home we had a Texas Instruments computer which used cassette tapes as memory devices. I remember playing some game with a orange "kangaroo". This is all pre-NES which was really one of the best parts of the 80's.

Playing PacMan on my Atari system as a kid was the greatest. I now have a full sized arcade version in my basement, and my kids love it!
