The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating and following up on business leads that will further develop and expand Pickering's customer base. The right individual for this position will understand and successfully implement a relationship style selling approach that is focused on building long-term partnerships with clients while identifying needs within each individual organization. This position will focus on the promotion and contracting of Pickering's four primary service areas, which include Marketing Consulting, Web Development, Graphic Design, and Exhibit Services.

Required Skill Sets & Personal Qualities:

• A passionate self-starter, confident in his/her abilities, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with little supervision.

• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, plus the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals.

• Ability to facilitate small and large group discussions.

• Comfortable giving small and large group presentations.

• Ability to build productive relationships with clients and internal team members.

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish goals.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of business development/sales experience.

• Knowledge of the marketing and advertising industries.

• Track record of success and a continued interest in working with a diverse client base.
